Amy Parin

Naturopathic Clinician, BHSc(Naturopathy), M. ANTA

I am...

Gentle, patient, caring and understanding. My passion lies in caring for others: listening, supporting, comforting, and providing a safe space for healing to begin.

Open minded and non-judgemental. I always endeavour to create a safe space for my clients and have a very non-judgemental approach and attitude. I have been in the position myself feeling judged by health professionals and feeling awful after! Because of this, I have a greater understanding on what it means to feel not judged, heard and listened to and I embody these same values in my consults with patients.

A nature lover. I am absolutely obsessed with nature and spend my spare time outdoors hiking, swimming, diving, snorkelling and camping! Nothing lights me up more and fills my cup more than time spent outside. I love how Naturopathy uses natures medicine to heal and treat the body. Nature has provided us with some truly incredible gifts!

A nerd for natural health I am constantly exposing myself to the latest research and gold standard natural treatments be it in seminars, online, books and podcasts to get the best treatments for my patients. It is such an honour to work with clients to improve their health and wellbeing! I am also a big believer in patient education and empowerment. I always endeavour to help you understand your body and pick up on your bodies cues so that you can feel empowered and in control of your own wellbeing. I know what it is like to have health struggles as I have had my own journey to improve my hormones. Having had irregular cycles and acne most of my teens and being diagnosed with PCOS. I have had incredible results treating and managing it with natural therapies. It's fair to say that I wouldn't be where I am today without natural medicine!

Amy Parin, Naturopathic Clinician, BHSc(Naturopathy), M. NHAA

Amy is a qualified Naturopathic Clinician (BHSc) who takes an interest in many aspects of women's health. She treats a diverse range of health presentations from gut, mental, and vaginal health to mood disorders and hormones. However, she is particularly interested in preconception, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care. Her special interest in this area came naturally after having been quite literally obsessed with babies since she was a little girl!

Amy's personal health journey began with persistent hormonal issues she experienced as a teenager suffering with acne, PCOS and post pill amenorrhea. She sought medical treatment but found that the options available were not addressing the underlying cause of her condition, only suppressing the symptoms! Amy became worried that if she did not treat the underlying cause, these issues could impact her future fertility and health long term. Becoming frustrated by not getting the answers and treatment outcomes she desired, Amy began using naturopathic principles such as herbal, dietary and lifestyle changes to treat her conditions. Since then she has not looked back! She continued utilising naturopathic treatments to successfully alleviate her symptoms and improve her quality of life, which ultimately inspired her to become a Naturopath. Because of this, she understands how hard and challenging it can be to not get the answers and support you desire along your health journey.

Amy has a very holistic view when looking at health and likes to encompass environmental, nutritional, herbal and yogic treatments along with lifestyle recommendations with her patients to create lasting results. She also believes in collaborative health care and is dedicated to referrals when required and can work alongside your other current health professionals to give you the widespread care and specialties required. Amy also sends for pathology and is a big believer in testing when appropriate to understand how the results may be contributing to your health presentation and inform treatment. She utilises scientific supported research in her treatments as part of evidence based practise as well as traditional knowledge bringing ancient medicine to modern people (who need it most!). In her spare time she also runs workshops and group sessions, as well public presentations educating others on how they can use natural medicine to improve their health and wellbeing.

Amy creates a safe space for her clients to be heard and met and has a very friendly, gentle and non judgemental approach to health care. She is motivated to help you feel your best, get to the root cause of your health issues and use the incredible power of naturopathic medicine to get you the results and outcomes you desire.
